FAQ

Common questions.

How do I get started?

Every new student starts with a free 15-minute consultation, which you can book directly on our calendar. After the call, your instructor will recommend a lesson schedule, length, and frequency tailored to the student, and we'll get you on the studio calendar from there.

What's the difference between monthly and school-year contracts?

Month to month gives you flexibility: pay one month at a time, and cancel or change with 30 days' notice. The school-year contract reserves your weekly lesson time from September through May (about 36 lessons) and saves you roughly 10 percent over the year. Most committed students choose the school-year option, but we're happy to start monthly while you decide.

Can I take a single lesson to try it out?

Yes. Single lessons are available for trial sessions, occasional make-up lessons, or adult students who prefer flexibility. Single-lesson pricing is a little higher than the monthly or school-year rates, so most regular students enroll in a package once they're ready.

When are payments due?

Tuition is due on the 1st of each month for monthly and school-year contracts. Single lessons are paid at the time of booking. We'll send invoices and payment instructions through Stripe after your free consultation.

How often are lessons, and how long are they?

Lessons are typically weekly. They run 30, 45, or 60 minutes depending on the student's level and age, and we'll recommend the right length during your free consultation.

Do you teach adults?

Absolutely. Adult students are a meaningful part of our studio, whether you're returning to piano after years away or starting fresh.

What ages do you accept?

We typically begin formal lessons around age 6, when students have the focus and reading skills to benefit fully. We're happy to talk about readiness for younger children case by case.

Do students need a piano at home?

Yes, regular practice at home is essential to progress. An acoustic piano is ideal, but a quality digital keyboard with weighted keys works well, especially for beginners.

Where do lessons take place?

We teach at three locations across Lexington County. Our Gaston studio is at Beulah Methodist Church, where our Lead Instructor, Paul Raddin, serves as Lead Pastor. Our Lexington studio is hosted at a partner church, and our Leesville studio is Paul's home studio. We'll match you with the closest location during your free consultation and share the address then.

Do you offer lessons in our home?

Yes. In-home lessons are available as a premium option for an additional fee. We'll talk about it during your free consultation and recommend whether a studio location or in-home lessons are the best fit for your family.

What's your cancellation policy?

We ask for at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations. We'll review make-up lesson policies with you during enrollment.
